Here are some delicious sausage roll recipes that can be made for parties as an appetizer. It has a light, flaky exterior with a juicy pork interior.
Time: 1hr 30 minutes Serves: ~20 sausage rolls
Sausage Rolls

Ingredients
For the dough:
4 cups flour
2 cups of cold butter, grated
1 ½ cup ice cold water
1 Egg
For the filling:
½ kg lean minced pork
1 tbsp Thyme
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp white pepper
1/2 tbsp salt
1 tbsp minced garlic
3/4 tbsp onion
Directions
Step 1
In a large bowl, mix the flour, a cup of butter, and the ice-cold water. Knead it until it forms a smooth dough. Then roll out the dough into a thick disc shape, wrap it in plastic wrap, and place it into the fridge for 30 minutes or until it is cold.
Step 2
Remove the dough from the plastic wrap, and roll it out into a rectangle. Then sprinkle some of the grated butter on half the dough. Fold the dough in half and roll it out into a rectangle. Repeat this 5 times. Place your dough back into the fridge.
Step 3
Make the pork filling. In a large bowl, place the minced pork along with the thyme, black pepper, white pepper, salt, onion, and minced garlic. Mix well.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Roll the dough to 1 cm thick. Spread the minced pork filling along the center of the dough's long side. Fold the dough over to cover the filling. Trim and reserve excess dough to reuse. Seal the edges with a fork. Slice the roll into 1-inch pieces.
Step 5
Beat egg in a small bowl. Place sausage rolls on a parchment-lined baking tray. Brush tops with egg wash. Bake for 40 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
